BREAKING: Boko Haram suicide bombers hits Bama mosque, many feared killed

Scores of people are feared killed and several others injured when two teenage Boko Haram suicide bombers targeted a Mosque in Bama in the early hours of Sunday.

Daily Correspondents learnt that the attack happened at about 5:15am when Muslim worshippers gathered at a mosque around the Bama Dina area of Shehuri/Mairi/Hausari ward to observed the early morning fajr prayers.

According to a distress call made by a resident of the area, Abba Bukar Abba Masta, many people mostly adults were killed in the blast, while efforts are being made to evacuate survivors to Maiduguri.

He said, “Currently, no any ambulance in Bama to aid the transportation of the survivors.

“But we are currently making follow up to military 21 brigade for possible assistance.

“The police IED team, military personnel and CJTF aided the evacuation process.”

The attack is coming at a time the Borno State government has concluded plans to return thousands of Bama IDPs that have been taking shelter in displaced camps in Maiduguri to their ancestral homes.
