ACF lauds PDP for appointing Saraki as DG of Atiku presidential campaign council



The Atiku Care Foundation (ACF) in Nigeria and Diaspora on Tuesday thanked the Prince Uche Secondus leadership of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), for appointing the Senate President, Bukola Saraki, as the Director General of PDP’s Presidential Campaign for 2019 elections.

The ACF also said it looked forward to working together with Senator Saraki and his team to ensure that the PDP presidential candidate, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar emerged the next Nigerian President, stressing that the former vice president is well experienced and fully prepared for the leadership of the country.

In a signed statement made available to Daily Correspondents by Amb. Popoola Isiaka Olamilekan, Director, Media and Publicity, Atiku Care Foundation, in Abuja, the National Chairman of ACF, Amb. Aliyu Bin Abbas was quoted as saying: “Since the last PDP Presidential Primary Election, recently held in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, we have keenly observed the supports that Sen. Bukola Saraki has given Alh. Atiku Abubakar (GCON) as the presidential candidate of PDP at the 2019 general election. Thus, we are not surprised of his recent appointment as the Director General of PDP’s Presidential Campaign Council.”

“We have seen PDP much ready to kick out the All Progressives Party (APC) led federal government from its continuation in eroding the democratic gains that Nigeria had achieved before it took over the leadership of our country in 2015.

“On our own part, we will be glad to join hands with Sen. Saraki in order to collectively see to the emergency of Alh. Atiku Abubakar (GCON) as the next Nigerian President.

“The Atiku Abubakar that we know is well experienced and fully prepared himself for the leadership of this country. He has all the qualities that you can think of in the personality of the President of Nigeria.

“Therefore, at this juncture of our national history, Alh. Atiku remains the only person that is more capable in handling the numerous challenges that are facing our great country. We implore all Nigerians to join us in this project in order to make Nigeria great again,” the statement said.
