The Inspector-General of Police, Mr Ibrahim Idris, has removed Mr Edgal Imohimi as the Commissioner of Police of Lagos state.
Mr Imohimi was redeployed to the Force Headquarters in Abuja as the new Commissioner of Police in charge of Explosive Ordinance Unit.
IGP Idris consequently asked Mr Kayode Egbetokun to take over from Imohimi as the acting Commissioner of Police of Lagos.
Meanwhile, Egbetokun is said to be a former CSO to the National Leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
