Super Eagles interim coach, Samson Yebowei Siasia, has revealed that the present coaching crew inherited a broken team from the reign of former Super Eagles coach Sunday Oliseh, who suddenly resigned from his job in February.
Siasia said this in an interview monitored on Kingfut.com, while he stated that: “Egypt deserved to win in the Alexandria game. I congratulate them for the victory and I thank Nigerian players for their performances.
“We are very disappointed. We couldn’t do it. We inherited a broken team, which was quite difficult to fix. We only mended it. We were not lucky right from the first game in Kaduna, but that’s what God wanted it to be, we can’t question God,” Siasia concluded.
