Kebbi govt to partner UNICEF on malnutrition

Kebbi State Governor, Abubakar Atiku Bagudu, has assured the UNICEF and other donor agencies that his administration is ready to partner with them by paying the counterpart fund and improve the health service delivery in the state.

He stated this yesterday while receiving the members of UNICEF on the way of curtailing malnutrition in the state.

The Governor who was represented by the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Alhaji Babale Umar Yauri, said that “since the inception of this present administration the hitherto of the health sector as being reversed and put in a proper shame”.

He also commended the efforts of WINNN in tackling the malnutrition in the state and made a 2016 budget of N100million for the menace.

Speaking earlier, the Team leader and the chief malnutrition officer in UNICEF, Mr. Arjan De Wagt said that in 2013 government financed RUTF which resulted in expansion of CMAM coverage from 6 to 15 local governments.
